My internship journey at Trienpont International has been a rewarding and transformative experience. Over the course of 6.5 weeks I had the opportunity to work with a dynamic and dedicated team, gaining valuable insights and practical skills in Marketing.
Trienpont International is more than a company that creates software solutions for businesses. They have built a family dynamic and working culture that makes you feel included, seen, and heard. During my internship, I was excited to contribute to the company’s growth and learn from the best of the best.
In this article, I will share insights from my enriching internship at Trienpont International, highlighting key lessons and experiences.
My Role and Responsibility
My role and responsibilities as a marketing intern varied and no day was truly the same for me. I loosely brought fresh challenges and opportunities for growth. I closely collaborated with the marketing team, contributing to both Trienpont’s internal marketing efforts and supporting two key digital marketing clients.
My role involved crafting various types of content from blog posts and social media updates to videos and infographics, while also ensuring all visual assets aligned seamlessly to maintain a cohesive brand identity across all marketing channels.
I managed our client’s social media profile, scheduling content, engaging with followers, and monitoring social media analytics to enhance Trienpont’s social media presence and our clients’ social media presence. I also worked on Shopify email marketing for an international E-commerce project, designing campaigns to drive engagement and conversion.
Challenges and Problem-Solving
During my internship, I encountered various challenges that ultimately became stepping stones for personal and professional growth. These hurdles encompassed communication barriers, cultural adaptation, and work-life balance.
1. Communication Barriers
Effective communication in a new work environment, whether with colleagues, superiors, or clients can be challenging. For me, I encountered the language barrier, which stemmed from differences in nuances and social behavior. Fortunately, my colleagues were always pleased to assist and support me. As weeks passed, I began to use and practice more of my active listening and ask heaps of questions when I was unsure. I sought feedback to improve my communication with my colleagues and others in the company.
2. Adaptation to Company Culture
Adapting to the Trienpont’s company culture and dynamics presented initial challenges due to the marked differences between New Zealand’s and Thailand’s corporate culture. However, this did not deter how I tackled my work and projects and collaboration and interaction with others. I learnt a lot by observing and learning from colleagues, embracing Trienpont’s values, and adapting to these ways while staying true to my own principles and values. Finding that balance that will accept both and embrace it.
3. Work-life Balance
Balancing work, internship, and personal life was a little initially a bit challenging. Being new to the city, and having an insatiable curiosity, I expended a significant amount, striving to maximize every opportunity. As a result, I often found myself feeling burnt out by the end of the week. However, I took proactive steps to establish mental boundaries and approach each week with greater intentionality. Prioritizing self-care became a key focus, and I consistently communicated my needs with both my manager and colleagues.
Lessons I Have Learned
During my internship at Trienpont, I came to realise that the most significant lessons extend beyond the technical skills and industry knowledge.
I uncovered the power of adaptability and resilience when confronting challenges, the essential role of effective communication and collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, and the value of seeking feedback as a path to personal growth.
My time at Trienpont further underscored the significance of maintaining a strong work ethic, consistently striving for excellence, and embracing the opportunity for continuous learning.
Above all, I gleaned that success is not solely measured by individual achievements but by the positive impact one can have on a team and the organisation as a whole.

I deeply appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the company and to learn from some of the industry’s finest professionals. Beyond honing my professional skills this internship has gifted me a new family.
